Why don’t you make the most of your holiday in the Landes to help your children learn to swim safely and happily? Swimming clubs located right on the beach offer children’s swim lessons while the rest of the family enjoys their day at the beach*!
*Some swimming clubs also offer adult lessons.
Knowing how to swim is a vital life skill and enabling your children to learn at an early age will help prevent tragic accidents.

Kiwi Surf swim and surf lessons in Biscarrosse
Swimming lessons for adults and children from age 3, adapted to your level. The pool is heated to 28° and is one of the largest beginner pools in the Landes.
Les P’tits Loups swim school in Saint-Julien-en-Born – Plage de Contis
Swimming lessons from age 4 (book ahead). The school has FFS certification and is approved by the French Ministry of Sports.
Albret swim school in Vieux-Boucau
Swimming lessons from mid-June to mid-September for children, adults and senior citizens. Sessions in small groups by level for children aged 4 and up (2 to 4 children maximum) or private lessons. More experienced swimmers can take lessons to improve their four strokes.
Swimlandes swim school in Seignosse – Plage des Estagnots
Swimming lessons in July and August for children aged 4 years and up, in a pool or in the sea and from beginner to experienced (improving backstroke, breaststroke, crawl and butterfly stroke).

Swimming lessons for all levels from age 4 up. Lifeguard and coach Jean-Luc has an excellent reputation.

WaTer’Happy swim school in Ondres Plage
Private or small group lessons for children and adults given by Sophie, an enthusiast lifeguard and coach. The school is approved by the French Ministry of Sports. You must book ahead.

Les Pingouins beach club in Hossegor – Plage Blanche du Lac Marin
Private swimming lessons in the tidal lake, given by the club’s lifeguard every morning from 10am to 1pm. Book ahead.
Les Dauphins beach club in Capbreton – Plage Centrale
Swimming lessons for beginners and those wishing to improve their technique. All strokes are taught and lessons are adapted to each child’s level. From age 3, in groups or privately.
Les Tritons beach club in Capbreton – Plage Centrale
Swimming lessons given by Pierre Damien Ruffat, qualified coach and former competitive swimmer.
Les Marsouins beach club in Capbreton – Plage Notre-Dame
The pool is supervised by three lifeguards offering lessons for beginners and those wishing to improve their technique. Adult classes are also available.
